The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory warning for Douglas County as temperatures look to soar past 100 degrees during

the next two days.

The advisory is in effect from 1 p.m. today until 7 p.m. Monday. Temperatures are expected to top out near 105 degrees, with heat indexes reaching 110.

The service also said to expect little relief from the heat Sunday night, as temperatures will only dip into the mid-to-upper 70s.

The services suggests limiting activity and exposure to the sun, drinking lots of non-alcoholic liquids, wearing loose clothing and a hat and wearing sun screen when out during the day.
