County Commission approves amendments
Changes to city codes initiated by the Lawrence City Commission received approval Wednesday night by the Douglas County Commission.
County commissioners approved an amendment that would eliminate government takings for street or other public purposes as a cause of any setback or required off-street parking violation.
Also approved was the repeal of the 50-foot setback requirement along West Sixth Street between Monterey Way & Wakarusa Drive.
