Injury Accidents

¢ A 33-year-old Lawrence man suffered minor injuries in a one-car accident early Tuesday seven miles east of Lawrence on the Kansas Turnpike. A 1994 Mitsubishi Mirage driven by Dubodh Bhandari hydroplaned, struck the median wall and then went into the ditch. Bhandari received minor cuts and scrapes and a bruise under his eye. He told authorities he would seek medical treatment on his own.

Condition Reports

¢ Jeffrey Laird, of Lenexa, who was injured in a motorcycle accident Sunday evening, remained in critical condition Tuesday at the University of Kansas Hospital. Laird’s motorcycle struck a sign on U.S. Highway 24-40 near Kansas Highway 32. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
