Dan Cary, a senior financial adviser for Ameriprise Financial Services Inc. in Lawrence, received the company’s 2005 President’s Recognition Award, given to financial advisers who demonstrate exceptional financial advice through their written recommendations.

To succeed, the company says, written recommendations must clearly articulate what clients need to do to achieve their financial goals, include clear guidance on how to implement the planning advice and cite specific reasonable steps to take to make progress toward those goals.

Cary has been a financial adviser for 12 years in the company’s office at 1321 Wakarusa Drive, Suite 2000.
