Sprint Nextel Corp. on Thursday cut 75 jobs at its Sprint North Supply division, which is based in Gardner.

Many of the cuts were effective immediately. The division had about 1,100 employees, and in 2004 had sales of $800 million.

The division, which handles equipment and logistics, is among company operations included in Sprint Nextel’s planned spin-off of its local phone division later this year.
