Seabury boys avenge earlier loss to Williamsburg

? Seabury Academy’s boys basketball team, which lost to Williamsburg by 28 points earlier this season, defeated the same squad, 46-30, on Tuesday at the West Franklin Invitational Tournament.

Adam Davis had 19 points, while fellow senior Grayson Dillon contributed 18 points and eight rebounds for the Seahawks (5-6).

Seabury will play Central Heights at 5 p.m. Friday in its final game of the round-robin event. The Seahawks are still in the hunt for the tourney title.

Doniphan West 53, Veritas 43

Elwood – Andrew Bartlow scored nine points and pulled down 13 rebounds, but the Eagles couldn’t overcome a slow start, dropping their opening game at the Elwood Invitational.

Girls

Williamsburg 32, Seabury 14

Ottawa – Seabury managed just three points in the first half in dropping its second straight gameat the West Franklin Invitational.

Melissa Burch, Gabrielle Dillon and Lindsey Ahlen each scored four points for the Seahawks (4-7).

Maur Hill-Mt. Academy 47, Veritas 42

Elwood – Kristie Tiegreen led the Eagles with 16 points and 19 rebounds, but Veritas let an eight-point halftime lead slip away.
