Jayhawk history to be featured Wednesday
The Jayhawk – KU mascot, historical symbol – will have its story told Wednesday at the Watkins Community Museum of History, 1047 Mass.
The historical tour, Talkin’ Jayhawk, will be open between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Children ages 5-7 will create magnets and design their own Jayhawk.
The general public will be charged $10 to enter, while members of the Douglas County Historical Society, Boys & Girls Club and Big Brothers Big Sisters will be offered discounted admission.
