Boil advisory lifted
Residents of Baldwin no longer need to boil their drinking water.
The state had imposed a boil water advisory Tuesday after the city’s public water supply lost pressure because of a valve malfunction in a line south of Lawrence.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment lifted the advisory Thursday after the system was repaired and testing revealed no evidence of bacteria.
