¢ Mat Golds: Dylan Housworth and Andy Jones of the Lawrence Coyotes Wrestling Club captured gold medals at Saturday’s Paola Invitational. The Coyotes’ Jared Bruner and Logan Harrell also earned medals. Also, Jessica Bowman of Lawrence Prairie Fire Wrestling picked up a fourth-place medal.

¢ Soccer Standouts: Lawrence’s Taylor Bussinger, Greg Glatz and Andrew Heck play for the K.C. Comets U-16 boys soccer team that will compete in the Kick-It Three-on-Three world championships Jan. 14-16 in Orlando, Fla.

¢ Riley Doubles: Matt Riley of Lawrence was the overall male winner in both the two-mile and five-mile portions of the Clinton Challenge cross country meet Sunday at Clinton Lake. In the women’s competition, Mary Bennett of Lawrence won the five-mile and Maggie Kuhlman of Lecomption captured the two-mile.

¢ BU Softball Clinic: Baker University’s softball staff and players will conduct clinics for youths ages 10-18 Saturday (pitching and hitting) and Jan. 14 (fielding and hitting) at the Collins Center in Baldwin.
