Topeka ? The Veritas Christian boys basketball team fell one bucket short of a second-half comeback Tuesday, falling to Topeka Cair Paravel, 63-61.

Veritas (7-3) rallied on the strength of Casey Woods and Mark Randtke, who finished with 17 and 18 points.

Veritas will play host Friday to Chanute.

Topeka – Kristie Tiegreen lead Veritas with 15 points, 15 rebounds and six assists.
