Motorists should avoid the 800 block of Kentucky Street for at least the rest of today while city crews attempt to repair a sinkhole that has developed on the street.

Chris Stewart, acting director of the city’s utilities department, said a sinkhole developed this afternoon near a manhole on the street. He said crews were investigating the cause, and traffic could be disrupted through Wednesday morning.
