Still paying the price for being young in the preseason, stale against Kansas State, and not clutch at Missouri, KU didn't make the rankings, placing 27th, one spot ahead of Bucknell.

Washington is 5-5 in the Pac-10, a worse conference than the Big 12, and is ranked 21st.

C.J. Giles doesn't have a problem with not being ranked.

"I kind of like flying under the radar," Giles said.
