Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police detectives arrested a man late Friday night on suspicion of rape, criminal sodomy with a child and indecent liberties with a minor.

He was arrested by Detective Michael Verbanic and booked into Douglas County Jail just before 9:30 p.m. Friday, according to jail records.

As of Saturday, the man had not made an appearance before a judge and did not yet have his bond set. Jail officials said he would likely appear before a judge today.
