Offense lacking

To the editor:

How many Jayhawks could rebound if a Jayhawk could rebound a basketball? Hey, how can you blow a 98 percent layup? Hey, why don’t we play our big men at the top of the key; we can play our guards under the basket. Offense? High-post offense? Why does it look more like a Ferris wheel going around and around; by the time the ride ends you are right back where you started.

Hey, let’s not push the ball all the way down into the corner. No, surely we cannot try to drive the baseline. When the big men do get the ball down low they don’t know how to spin into the basket, get the two points and draw a foul from the opponent on their backs. Oh well, they can’t make a lay-in anyway.

Offense at Kansas? Are you kidding. It looks like mass chaos out there. Hey, let’s just stand around on offense, no movement, no rotating, no breaking to the basket. Defense cannot win all the games. You have to score to win. Does Bill Self really have the knowledge of how to play offense and score? Maybe Bill should operate a Ferris wheel at a carnival. All the offense does is go around and around. It ends up right back where it started.
