Kansas University’s football team snagged two more commitments stemming from last weekend’s official visits – both highly rated prospects out of Texas.

Patrick Resby, a safety out of Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas, and Carmon Boyd-Anderson, a running back out of Jacksonville (Texas) High, gave oral commitments to the Jayhawks after taking their official visits over the weekend, according to Rivals.com.

Both were highly pursued. Resby had offers from Kansas, Baylor, Iowa State, Hawaii and TCU, while Boyd-Anderson had offers from Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and TCU.

Boyd-Anderson is ranked 33rd among all running-back prospects by Rivals, while Resby is ranked among the top 50 junior-college prospects in the nation.

Resby, a 6-foot-2, 195-pounder originally from Houston, spent three seasons at Navarro, including a red-shirt year. He’s expected to graduate this month and enroll at KU in time for spring practices.

“I really liked what I saw on my visit,” Resby told Rivals. “The coaches and players I met seemed like a good fit. I liked the weight room and some of the facilities I saw.”

Boyd-Anderson stands 6-1 and weighs 200 pounds. Rivals rates him as the 80th-best player in Texas, a state loaded with football talent. He made his first visit to Kansas and told Rivals he’s doesn’t plan to take any more.

“I met a lot of players from Texas,” Boyd-Anderson said of KU’s team. “So that is one thing that made me feel comfortable and like I was at home.”

Since Resby is expected to graduate at semester, he will be able to sign his letter of intent this month. Boyd-Anderson, like most high school players, will sign in February.

Kansas now has 12 known commitments for the 2007 class – 10 high school standouts and two juco transfers.
