World Company sites among award finalists
A pair of Web sites produced by The World Company are finalists for Online Journalism Awards.
LJWorld.com is a finalist among small sites for general excellence in online journalism. The other finalists are The Center for Public Integrity, Congressional Quarterly and Speaking of Faith (American Public Media).
Lawrence.com is a finalist among small sites for specialty work. The other finalists are Bicycling, coverage of the Azerbaijan elections by EurasiaNet.org, Fine Woodworking and McKinneySports.net.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony Oct. 7 in New York. The awards are sponsored by the Online News Assn. and the USC Annenberg School for Communication.
