Med Center faculty receive fellowships
KANSAS CITY, KAN. ? Kansas University on Tuesday awarded two KU Medical Center faculty members with W.T. Kemper Fellowships for Excellence.
The $5,000 awards went to James L. Fishback, associate professor of pathology and laboratory medicine, and Steven W. Stites, associate professor of internal medicine. It was Fishback’s second Kemper award; he received his first in 1999.
Now in their 11th year, the awards are supported by $650,000 in gifts from the William T. Kemper Foundation, Commerce Bank, trustee, and $650,000 in matching funds from KU Endowment Association.
