LeBlanc sued for defamation

Los Angeles – Matt LeBlanc has been sued for defamation by a woman who claims the former “Friends” actor made sexually charged comments about her that were published in the National Enquirer.

Stephanie Stephens claims in a lawsuit that LeBlanc told an unspecified person last August that she was sexually aggressive, gave him a lap dance in a private room and engaged him in a “night of sexual debauchery … at her place of employment.”

A call to LeBlanc’s publicist after business hours Friday was not immediately returned.

In the lawsuit, filed Tuesday in Los Angeles, Stephens said she was never sexually aggressive toward LeBlanc, never made sexual requests and never gave a lap dance.

The lawsuit also says that “all sexual contact between the defendant and the plaintiff took place in the privacy of (Stephens’) residence.”

Looks like the 28-year-old husband of singer Britney Spears will be shuffling over to the small screen, where he will appear in an episode of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” on CBS this fall, People magazine reported.

“It’s the first time I’ve actually had a speaking role,” he told the magazine.

Young actor mows lawns

Oklahoma City – Blake Garrett has toured the world with Barney and made a film about eating worms, but the 13-year-old Edmond boy stayed closer to home this summer, mowing lawns for profit.

Last summer, he spent two months making “How to Eat Fried Worms,” writer-director Bob Dolman’s adaptation of Thomas Rockwell’s novel.

The movie, which opened Friday, is the story of an 11-year-old who runs afoul of a bully on the first day of school and ends up betting that he can eat 10 worms in a day. Garrett plays one of the bully’s henchmen.

At 10, Blake was hired to tour with a big purple dinosaur in “Barney’s Colorful World.” He toured for 18 months and is in the “Barney’s Colorful World” children’s video.

Actress loves Emmys week

Los Angeles – Actress Mariska Hargitay loves the week leading up to the Emmys.

Hargitay, nominated in the best drama series actress category for her work on “Law & Order: SVU,” was delighted with all of the trappings associated with the Emmys, which air tonight.

“Things are wheeled in. We get to choose. It’s been pretty amazing,” she told Associated Press Television News at the Acting Nominees Reception on Friday.
