About 40 attended a meeting on county zoning with the goal of getting more consistency, planning and coherence in area growth.

The county fairgrounds were cleaned and manicured for fair week.

Kansas University’s final summer session enrollment was listed at 5,359 students. Campus enrollment for the fall semester was due to be about 14,000, and another record student total was anticipated.
