Therapists attend pediatric conference

Three therapists from Lawrence Therapy Services attended a conference last month at Lawrence Memorial Hospital to learn how to use the HELP (Hawaii Early Learning Profile) system, which focuses on being able to assess children in the areas of cognition, language, motor skills, social skills, self-help and sensory organization.

Heather Hice, physical therapist; Mimi Urish, speech-language pathologist; and Jennifer Woerner, speech-language pathologist, attended the conference. They are members of the pediatric team at Lawrence Therapy Services.

Lawrence Therapy Services provides services for children, from birth to age 3, through its Tiny-K program and for children, ages 3-18, in its Lawrence and Baldwin clinics.
