To the editor:

Although the percentage of registered Kansas Democrats plus those who are unaffiliated is slightly more than the total number of registered Republicans, an average of approximately 70 percent of Kansans who voted in the last election voted Republican.

If we want to break the chokehold that the Republicans have on our state and our country we are going to have to make an effort and vote.

We have a governor who has done an excellent job with what she has had to work with, and she could do so much more if we give her a House of Representatives that she can work with.

We also have got to stop the Republican “rubber stamp” senators and congressmen in Washington and take our country back. Stop the corruption, stop the lies, it’s our country, let’s show them who is in charge. It is WE THE PEOPLE.
