KU groups plan awareness demonstration
Three Kansas University student groups on Thursday will stage “Die for Life,” a demonstration to raise awareness of global humanitarian conflicts.
Members of Fighting Ignorance of Global Humanitarian Threats, KU for Uganda, KU UNICEF and others interested in the cause will lie on the lawn at Strong Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each student will represent a number of people killed in a humanitarian crisis somewhere in the world.
The demonstration is meant to raise awareness of crises such as those reported in the Darfur region of Sudan.
