The KU pom-pon girls were Nancy Miller, Diane Attebery, Karen Dunaway, Shirley Gossett, Dorothea Davis, Karen Renstrom, Parmalee Bates and Cynthia Dickson.

The Lawrence High cheerleaders were named for the coming year – Susan Petefish, Connie Cerne, Jane King, Joy Weatherwax, Kathe Penny and Mary Keltz.
