City football athletes tapped for All-Star tilt

Four athletes from Lawrence high schools were selected to play in the Greater Kansas City Football All-Star Game, scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff June 15 at William Jewell College.

Lawrence High’s Brandon Lassiter was chosen to play defensive back and teammate Scott Penny was selected as a linebacker.

From Free State High, Brett Lisher, son of Free State coach Bob Lisher, will play either outside linebacker or strong safety, and teammate Nick Ayre will play wide receiver.
