Injury Accidents

¢ A Meriden woman was injured Friday morning on Kansas Highway 10 when her vehicle hydroplaned, left the road and struck a tree.

At 8:05 a.m., 20-year-old Kerri Hertlein was driving her 2000 Pontiac eastbound on K-10 at mile marker east of Lawrence when it left the road, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Hertlein was wearing a seat belt. She was injured and transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was treated and later released, a hospital official said.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A Douglas County man reported two all-terrain vehicles stolen from a residence on 1250 Road sometime between Monday evening and Wednesday night. The two vehicles were a 2001 Yamaha 400, valued at $5,136, and a 2003 Kawasaki 400, valued at $5,500.
