Members of Lawrence’s arts community are encouraged to participate in Lawrence ArtsFest 2005: Celebrating Creativity and Community. The initiative will coincide with National Arts & Humanities Month, which is Oct. 1-Oct. 31.

Founder John Wysocki has set up a Web site to register arts events in October to give maximum publicity to local happenings at www.lawrenceartsfest.org. The event must involve Lawrence participants.

The project is funded in part by a City of Lawrence Community Arts Grant.
