Injury Accidents

¢ An Ottawa man suffered an injury Friday after an accident on U.S. Highway 59 about 7 miles south of Lawrence.

At 3:07 p.m., Joshua C. Farr, 20, drove south in his 1999 Honda and had stopped for a dog that crossed the road when he was rear-ended by a 2001 Dodge pickup, driven by Hagen G. Alberson, 32, Ada, Okla., according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.

Halgerson wore a seat belt and was not injured. Medical authorities transported Farr, who also wore a seat belt, to Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa, the report said.

A hospital official said Farr was treated and later released.
