Injury Accident

¢ A California man was injured Monday when his car overturned on the Kansas Turnpike near the Lecompton interchange.

The Kansas Highway Patrol identified the man as Dennis J. Ferreira, 58, Ceres, Calif. He was taken by helicopter ambulance to University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. His condition was not known late Monday, but the patrol report said he suffered cuts to his face.

Ferreira was driving a 1991 Infiniti westbound on the highway when he lost control of the car. It went into the ditch and overturned.
