Wichita ? Marcus Holman and Jesse Schultz combined to rush for 423 yards and six touchdowns as the Veritas Christian football team knocked off Wichita Sunrise Academy 60-22 on Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

“Our line was just blocking incredible. Huge holes,” said Eagles coach Doug Bennett.

Holman carried 11 times for 254 yards and four scores, while Schultz also had 11 carries, tallying 169 yards and two touchdowns for the Eagles (1-0).

Quarterback Casey Woods also got in on the offensive explosion, completing 5-of-7 passes for 173 yards and one touchdown.
