Second Christian Church has welcomed a new pastor to its pulpit.

The Rev. Clifford Ruff took over Aug. 1. He previously served as an outreach minister at Swope Parkway United Christian Church in Kansas City, Mo., where he provided ministry on the radio, in prisons, with the homeless, in nursing homes and in home Bible studies.

Ruff’s wife, Edna, is a teacher at Hickman Mills High School.
