Kansas University’s Music and Dance Department has announced a benefit concert for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 13 in Swarthout Recital Hall, Murphy Hall.

Numerous faculty and students from the department will perform.

A suggested donation of $10 or more per person will be taken at the door. Those interested can also call ahead and reserve tickets with the Lied Center Box Office at 864-2787. Those reserving tickets must check in by 7:15 pm the night of the event to claim their reserved tickets.

All donations will be sent to the American Red Cross to support victims of the hurricane.
