Seabury girls qualify for state

? Seabury Academy’s girls cross country squad is headed for state.

The Seahawks finished third in their Class 1A regional Saturday to qualify. Seabury’s Adam Davis was the lone runner of the boys team to qualify for Saturday’s state meet in Wamego.

The Seabury girls were led by Katie Pottorff, who finished third in 13:13. Regan Sisson was fourth in 13:15, Brooke Sutherland 20th in 16:14, and Jennifer Hughes 22nd in 19:37. The girls totaled 31 points, behind Wakefield (24) and Pike Valley (28).

Davis finished fifth in the boys race in 18:18. Bill Butler was next in 19:36. The Seabury boys were fourth in the team standings.
