Grain futures advanced Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade, while soybean futures retreated.

Wheat for December delivery rose 4 1/2 cents to $3.32 1/4 a bushel; December corn rose 1 cent to $2.02 3/4 a bushel; December oats rose 3 3/4 cents to $1.66 a bushel; November soybeans fell 4 1/4 cents to $5.85 a bushel.

Pork futures declined on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, while beef futures finished mixed.

December live cattle rose .12 cent to 90.55 cents a pound; November feeder cattle fell .25 cent to $1.1592 a pound; December lean hogs fell .85 cent to 60.22 cents a pound; February pork bellies fell 1.02 cent to 87.30 cents a pound.
