How they scored

FIRST QUARTER

13:33 – D.J. Wolfe 65 interception return. Kansas advanced 25 yards on the first two plays of the game, on a Derek Fine completion and Brian Luke run. On the third play, Luke’s ankle was wrapped up by an OU lineman, and the quarterback tried to make an off-balanced completion anyway. It was intercepted, taken across the field and returned for the score. Garrett Hartley kick. (Oklahoma 7, Kansas 0).

9:58 – Garrett Hartley 40 field goal. Luke’s second interception in a span of nine seconds gave OU great field position, and the Sooners ate up enough field to get in field-goal range. Hartley booted the 40-yarder with plenty of leg. (Oklahoma 10, Kansas 0).

1:06 – Scott Webb 32 field goal. Kansas finally held on to the ball, moving 49 yards on five plays before the drive stalled. Brandon McAnderson had a 15-yard run, and Luke found Mark Simmons for a 20-yard completion on third down. After the drive stalled, Webb booted it through the uprights. (Oklahoma 10, Kansas 3).

FOURTH QUARTER

10:17 – Malcolm Kelly 25 pass from Rhett Bomar. Oklahoma hit the air for a majority of its 92-yard drive. A third down conversion of 40 yards put the Sooners within striking distance. On another third down, Bomar found Kelly in single coverage against Ronnie Amadi. Amadi appeared to stop covering Kelly five yards short of the end zone, and Kelly caught the ball in the corner of the end zone for six. Kick failed. (Oklahoma 16, Kansas 3).

4:01 – Garrett Hartley 40 field goal. A worn-out Kansas defense was battered for another fourth-quarter drive, as Oklahoma slowly moved the ball downfield. After stalling, Hartley booted the 40-yard field goal with plenty of leg. (Oklahoma 19, Kansas 3).
