KU art students to show off ‘seats’

Kansas University art department’s sculpture students will exhibit their “Seat for Two” projects Sunday in South Park.

The 20 art students participating in the exhibition are Sculpture I and II students, led by Matthew Burke, assistant professor of art. The sculptures must seat two; they must exploit a relationship between the two sitting in the seat, and the works must use wood as a primary means of support.

The exhibit will take place in the northeast corner of the park, 1000 Mass. The free event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
