City will waive all fares for T rides on Thursday
Area residents will have the opportunity to ride the city’s public transportation system for free on Thursday.
The city is waiving all fares for rides on the T on Thursday as part of the nation celebration of Communities in Motion Day. The national celebration is designed to draw attention to the benefits of public transportation.
In 2004, the Lawrence Transit System provided 377,519 rides to area residents. Through September of this year, the system has provided about 310,000 rides.
