Ottawa ? Entrees are being sought for this year’s Ottawa Veterans Day Parade.

The parade and other Veterans Day activities will be Nov. 5. Line-up for the parade will begin at 9 a.m.; the parade will start at 10:45 a.m. School bands from universities, high schools, junior highs and other schools, plus their mascots, are welcome to participate, as are school groups, car clubs, community clubs and groups, and musical and dance groups.

Other events that day will start at 1 p.m. in Forest Park, including military re-enactments and military vehicle displays. Vendors also will be set up.

Nov. 5 also will include a celebration of the 150th anniversaries of the Kansas National Guard and Franklin County. There will be displays in the Franklin County Courthouse, music, cake and various ceremonies throughout the day.
