Watkins museum plans holiday trip to Abilene
The Watkins Community Museum of History is organizing a bus tour to Abilene for Dec. 11.
The group will tour the Lebold and Seelye mansions, which will be decorated for Christmas. Those on the tour will dine at the Kirby House and then enjoy antique shopping in Abilene’s historic downtown.
A fully equipped motor coach bus will leave the museum, 1047 Mass., at 8:15 a.m., and return by 8 p.m. The trip costs $55 for Douglas County Historical Society members and $60 for non-members. Call the museum at 841-4109 to make reservations.
