Cool, sunny day for KU football

Kansas University football fans should grab a jacket before heading out to Memorial Stadium today for the KU-Iowa State game.

Temperatures are expected to warm up to 64 degrees today with winds coming out of the south at 12 to 17 mph, 6News Weather reports. Tonight, temperatures will drop to 50 degrees.

At 7:36 a.m., Lawrence’s temperature was 33 degrees and the humidity was 77 percent.

Despite the sunny start, clouds are expected to increase but any chances for rain should hold off to the south and east.

A cold front will be moving across Kansas on Sunday, which could mean a chance for rain and snow.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a 60 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms during the day on Sunday and a 50 percent chance for rain and snow after midnight.
