Man leaves hospital after being hit by truck

A Lawrence man injured when he was dragged and run over by a pickup truck was released from a Kansas City area hospital over the weekend, the man’s father said.

James Holder, 23, suffered a brain injury and broken cheek bones in the incident that occurred Wednesday in the 2400 block of West 24th Terrace, his father, Richard Holder, said.

His son needs to rest and “take it easy,” Richard Holder said.

Lawrence Police stopped a pickup truck shortly after the incident occurred, but an investigation is continuing and no arrests have been made.
