FSHS product Gress sets Baker record

? Linebacker Jeremiah Gress established a Baker University football record when he was credited with 25 tackles in Saturday’s 28-17 victory over Culver-Stockton.

Gress, a 5-foot-10, 210-pound senior from Free State High, eclipsed Mickey Ramsey, another linebacker, who made 24 stops in a game during the 2000 season.

Gress is tied for the Heart of America Athletic Conference lead in total tackles. He and Zander DiGrino of Culver-Stockton have 91 apiece.

Baker, 3-7, will play its season finale Saturday against Lindenwood in St. Charles, Mo.
