Cub Scout Pack 3370, chartered to Deerfield PTA, had its monthly meeting April 25. Tiger Den Scouts, having completed the rank advancement requirements, were presented to the pack by Wayne Dedloff, den leader. Scouts who earned their Tiger badges were Logan Dedloff, Daniel O’Neil, Josh Kallenbach, Ben Novorr, Chris Blevins, Seth Winchester, Matthew Meske, Lane Nations, Ryan Lavery and Eli McCleary. The badges were presented by Cubmasters Rick Werner and Scott Braden.

In addition, several members of the pack attended the Pelathe District Webelos Woods Graduation and Spring Camporee last weekend at Camp Bromelsick. The boys participated in events such as tug of war, fire starting, tomahawk throw and travois building. They especially enjoyed the fruit cobbler competition. Scouts who attended were Jamie Braden, Tyler Hanson, Alex Houston and Nick Pippert. Cubmaster Scott Braden coordinated the event.

Boy Scout Troop 65, chartered to the Baldwin Rotary Club, started the year by attending the Trapper’s Rendezvous Jan. 14-16 in Halstead. The troop also went camping Feb. 18-20 in Spring Creek Park at the Old City Lake.

The Troop conducted a Court of Honor Feb. 28 at First United Methodist Church. The troop earned 188 camping beads as well as Trapper’s Rendezvous Patches, Scout Sunday Patches and Quality Unit Award Patches. Trey Anderson, Ryan Rogers and Colby Soden attained the rank of Scout. Thomas Bollig and Sam Richards attained the rank of Tenderfoot. Daren Gratts was recognized for completing his Eagle requirements and will have a Court of Honor this month.

Older Scouts from the Troop have been planning and training for a high adventure trip to Philmont Scout Ranch this summer. They went hiking and camping March 11-13 near Baldwin.

The younger scouts camped March 25-26 at Lake Faulkner, a private lake on the southwest edge of town.

Troop members participated in a cleanup at Camp Bromelsick and Scout Sunday.

Several members from Boy Scout Troop 62, chartered to the Linwood Lions Club, were inducted into the Order of the Arrow as Ordeal Members April 29-May 1 at Camp Bartle. They were Logan Ross, Brian Pemberton, John Hopkins, CJ King, Levi Draper, Josh King, Skylar Ross and Mike Pemberton.
