Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
2401 Kingsrow (Topeka)
Six high school seniors, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, graduated Friday from seminary at the Topeka Kansas Stake Center, 2401 Kingsrow.
This four-year course of Scripture study meets at 6 a.m. on school days. It includes study of the Old and New testaments, the Book of Mormon and church history.
Graduates are: Haven Bouton, Keith Garner, Elisa Gill, Maranda McCall, Don Robertson and Matthew Rytting. Their instructors were Derek Anderson and Adriane Gill.
First Presbyterian Church

Sunday: Congregation celebrates Mother’s Day; parish nurses participate in “Go Red for Women” promotion of the American Heart Assn.
May 15: Special congregational meeting, called by the Session, to seek church’s next called pastor, following 11 a.m. worship.

May 14: Senior adult council plays host to May Bouquet, 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Brady Hall; celebration for all those older than 80, with sing-a-long, fellowship, dessert and music by children’s choir.
May 15: High school seniors recognized at all three worship services.
