KU Soccer Camps: Kansas University's soccer staff will conduct three weeks of youth camps this summer, starting May 31. For information, call Kara Lowery at 864-5833.

Washington, Woodard: Former Kansas University women's basketball coach Marian Washington and former KU All-American Lynette Woodard have joined Wichita-based Hoop Mountain Central Basketball, a year-round provider of basketball events for youths ages 8-18.

Mason Leads Baldwin: Gabe Mason was a state runner-up, and nine Baldwin wrestlers placed in the Kansas Kids Wrestling Championships last weekend in Topeka. Alan Callahan earned a third, and Colton Bonner and Josh Hanson had fourth places. Fifths went to Bryce Shoemaker and Jesse Hardy. Earning sixths were Jon Pratt, Jack Mitchell and Jesse LaMay.

Soccer Champs: Lawrence's Taylor Bussinger, Greg Glatz and Andrew Heck played on the U-15 K.C. Comets soccer team that won the championship of the All-American Indoor Sports League.

Orchards Happenings: Orchards Golf Course is forming a couples league that will play at 6 p.m. Fridays beginning April 22. Orchards also will stage a two-man scramble April 23. For information, call Ed White at 843-7456.

Mat Fund-Raiser: A fund-raiser for Praire Fire Wrestling Club will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Set 'Em Up Jacks, 23rd and Harper. PFWC is raising money in order to send wrestlers to national meets in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and San Diego. For information, call 832-1288.

Ornburn to Sign: Lawrence High's Chelsey Ornburn will attend Baker University to run track. She will sign a BU letter of intent at 3:15 p.m. Friday in the LHS cafeteria.

KU Tennis Camps: Kansas University's tennis staff will conduct camps for junior players June 5-9 and July 10-14, and adult players June 3-5 and July 8-10.
