Merle B. Fleming, Pomona

CENTROPOLIS ? Services for Merle B. Fleming, 80, Pomona, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Centropolis Christian Church. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery northwest of Centropolis.

Mr. Fleming died Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa.

He was born Sept. 25, 1924, on a family farm near Centropolis. He graduated from Appanoose High School in 1942.

Mr. Fleming was a lifelong dairyman and farmer. He retired in 2000. He was a member of Centropolis Christian Church. He served on the Farm Bureau Board and was a member of Mid America Dairy Assn.

He married Lois Arlene Myers on June 11, 1950, in Centropolis. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Brad, Centropolis; a daughter, Candy Lamirande, Hopkinsville, Ky.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home.
