Memorial services for Edith “Edie” Dreiling, 55, Lawrence, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Ms. Dreiling died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.

She was born March 8, 1950, in Russell, the daughter of Elroy and Fern Margaret Bloom Dumler. She graduated from Russell High School in 1968. She attended Kansas State University for two years. She moved to Lawrence 30 years ago from Russell.

Ms. Dreiling worked all of her professional life in the banking industry. She spent her entire professional banking career in Lawrence and began working for University National Bank in July 1998. She was a senior vice president and loan officer at the time of her death.

She served on the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Board of Directors and Board of Directors at Penn House. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and had actively served for 20 years on various committees and boards.

She married Larry Dreiling on Aug. 14, 1971, in Russell. He died July 12, 1997.

Survivors include a daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Dreiling, Lawrence; a twin brother, Martin Dumler, Russell, and a sister, June Gfeller, Shawnee.

The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall after the services.

The family suggests memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church, Penn House or Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
