Roy Clarence Lehmann, Lawrence
Hiawatha ? Services for Roy Clarence Lehmann, 91, Lawrence, formerly of Hiawatha, will be at 2 p.m. today at Chapel Hill Oaks Funeral Home, Hiawatha.
Mr. Lehmann died Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He had been a resident at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community in Lawrence.
He was born Dec. 8, 1913, in Sabetha, the son of Paul Fredrick and Bertha Carolina Lehmann. Mr. Lehmann was a lifelong resident of Northeast Kansas.
Mr. Lehmann grew up in Sabetha before moving to Hiawatha, where he later owned and operated Lehmann’s Body Shop until retiring.
He married Elva B. Meyer on Feb. 16, 1941. She died Sept. 10, 2004.
Three sons, Martin, Steven and Galen, also died earlier.
Survivors include a two sons, Stan, Pittsburg, Calif., and Don, Olathe; four daughters, Carolyn Denton, Waynesville, Mo., Karla Strickland, Bossier City, La., Lisa Eidson, Lenexa, and Nancy Benson, Lawrence; a brother, Ruben, Sabetha; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
