Austin, Texas ? Kansas University’s golf team finished strong, shooting a tournament-best 319 during Sunday’s final round, but settled for 16th place at the 2005 Betsy Rawls Invitational.

Duke won with a 914, followed by Oklahoma State with a 915.

KU sophomore Amanda Costner finished in a tie for 42nd with a three-round total of 241, followed by junior Chelsey Pryor (tied for 56th, 244), junior Meredith Winkelmann (81st, 251), freshman Annie Giangrosso (tie for 85th, 254) and sophomore Jill Womble (tied for 88th, 255).
