Lawrence Police said Friday that in the past 24 hours they handled:

¢ 39 reports

¢ four burglaries

¢ six thefts

¢ seven non-injury accidents

¢ one injury accident

¢ Police arrested a 41-year-old man early Friday on suspicion of threatening a 20-year-old man with a knife near 10th and Massachusetts streets.

The victim told police he was on his way to the Lawrence Community Shelter, 944 Ky., shortly before midnight when the suspect approached him. The suspect lists the shelter as his address.
