Chicago Board of Trade

Soybean futures advanced Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade, while grain futures finished mostly higher.

Wheat for September delivery rose 4 3/4 cents to $3.44 1/2 a bushel; September corn rose 5 3/4 cents to $2.50 1/2 a bushel; September oats remained unchanged at $1.78 1/2 a bushel; August soybeans rose 6 cents to $7.20 a bushel. Beef futures decreased on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, while pork futures finished mixed. August live cattle fell .17 cent to 78.95 cents a pound; August feeder cattle fell 1.42 cent to $1.0812 a pound; August lean hogs fell .80 cent to 66.05 cents a pound.
